When Heaven Touches Earth

What a Supernatural Church Can Do to a Region

By Evangelist Josiah Schluckebier
There are moments in history when heaven kisses earth. When the supernatural becomes the new normal. When the Church stops being a building and becomes a force. And when that happens—entire regions change.

We’ve seen it before. We’re going to see it again. The question is:
Will we be part of it?

Spokane, Washington — The Healthiest City in America

Between 1915–1920, a man named John G. Lake dared to believe that the Church could host the presence of God in such a way that the sick wouldn’t just be comforted—they would be healed.
He opened what came to be known as the Divine Healing Rooms in downtown Spokane.

No fanfare. No social media. Just faith. Fasting. And fervent prayer.

He trained "Healing Technicians"—men and women who would fast, pray, and go out two-by-two until people were completely healed.
No shortcuts. No partial miracles. They believed the Bible—and acted on it.

Over 100,000 medically documented healings took place.
Cancer disappeared. Blind eyes opened. The lame walked.

Even newspapers and local doctors recognized the movement.

Spokane was declared “The healthiest city in America”—because a local church believed in the supernatural.

Reinhard Bonnke & The Blood-Washed Africa

Years later, Reinhard Bonnke declared, “Africa shall be saved!” — and few believed him.
But he wasn’t dreaming. He was prophesying.

Through tents, open-air crusades, and eventually sound systems that reached entire regions, the ministry of Christ for All Nations saw over 79 million salvations.

Entire villages shut down.
Thousands came to be healed—and left without their crutches or wheelchairs.

He believed the Gospel was not just to be preached—but to be demonstrated in power.

Africa was not just changed—it was marked by the supernatural.

Behind it all: teams, intercessors, and local churches who made revival a lifestyle.

Billy Graham & A Nation on Its Knees

Then there was Billy Graham—not known for miracles or healing, but for something just as supernatural:
The conviction of the Holy Spirit.
He preached the simple Gospel to over 215 million people.

He didn’t shout. He didn’t lay hands. But when he spoke,
cities wept. Altars filled. Crime dropped.

America was shaken—not by hype, but by holiness.

Billy taught us:

A holy church is a powerful church.
And a surrendered life is still the most supernatural force on earth.

 When Heaven Invades a Region

From Spokane to Lagos to Los Angeles…
When the Church becomes a supernatural expression of Jesus on the earth—cities bend.
When believers carry healing, hope, and holiness—regions are reborn.

This isn’t reserved for generals of the faith.
It’s for you. It’s for me. It’s for now.

 What If It Happens Again?

What would it look like if:
Jacksonville, Florida became the healthiest city in America again?
A city in the Midwest shut down to hear the Gospel?
A school system was transformed because the Church started praying around the clock?
Revival isn’t a myth.
It’s a mandate.

And when we gather around His presence, His Word, and His compassion for the sick and lost— regions don’t stand a chance.

Final Thoughts

We honor those who’ve gone before us—Lake, Bonnke, Graham.
But we don’t idolize them.
We imitate their surrender.
They didn’t just carry power.
They carried brokenness, obedience, and devotion.

They lived consecrated.
They lived convinced.
And now, it’s our turn.

Let’s become a supernatural church that doesn’t just talk about revival—
We become revival.
Let’s see cities bow to Jesus again.
Let’s see regions radiate His glory.

Because when heaven touches earth through the Church…

Everything changes.
