OUR BELIEFS

WHAT GREAT THING CAN I DO FOR GOD?
ONLY BELIEVE!

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” – Mark 5:36

During these unprecedented times we can clearly see that we can trust fully in the Word of God. The word of God makes it very clear, anything that can be shaken will be shaken. The one thing that will remain is the church, the Word declares:

“… I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”  - Matthew 16:18‍
The Bible
We believe the Bible- both New and Old Testament- is the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate standard for faith, conduct, and doctrine, guiding our lives in truth and righteousness.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." -2 Timothy 3:16
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things, holy, loving, and sovereign over all creation.

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one." -Deuteronomy 6:4
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, rose from the dead in victory over sin and death, and ascended to Heaven, where He intercedes for us. Salvation is found in Him alone.

"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” -John 14:6
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit empowers believers for ministry and daily living. He convicts, guides, equips, and fills believers with boldness, spiritual gifts, and the fruit of the Spirit to fulfill God’s purpose in their lives.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." -Acts 1:8
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by works but is a gift from God, available to all who repent and believe. Through Jesus, we are made new creations and adopted into God’s family.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." -Ephesians 2:8-9
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers who are called to worship God, share the Gospel, and serve others. The Church is commissioned to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to follow Christ.

"Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." -1 Corinthians 12:27
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism as an outward declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to His command. It symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, representing a new life in Him.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." -Matthew 28:19
Communion
We believe in celebrating communion as a sacred act of remembering the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It is a time to reflect on His death, resurrection, and the promise of His return, uniting believers in fellowship and gratitude.

"For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes." -1 Corinthians 11:26
Healing & Miracles
We believe in the power of God to heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, and perform miracles today as He did in the early Church. These signs confirm the Gospel and glorify Jesus Christ.

"And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." -Mark 16:17-18
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return to earth to reign as King. His second coming will bring the ultimate fulfillment of God’s Kingdom, where believers will live eternally with Him.

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first." -1 Thessalonians 4:16
Tithes, Offerings and Other Givings
From the beginning, the principle of tithing and giving has been foundational to honoring God. Scripture provides clear examples and guidance on various forms of giving, each carrying blessings and opportunities to impact God’s Kingdom. Below is an outline of these forms of giving, rooted in biblical truths:

Tithing
The practice of tithing, giving 10% of our income, has existed since the earliest biblical accounts. Abraham gave a tenth of his possessions to Melchizedek, the priest of God Most High (Genesis 14:20). Tithing is a command and a declaration that everything we have belongs to the Lord.

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in!" (Malachi 3:10)

Offerings
Offerings go beyond the tithe, representing acts of gratitude and generosity. The Bible encourages cheerful, intentional giving, promising that sowing generously will reap a generous harvest.

"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)

First Fruits Giving
First fruits offerings involve giving the first portion of any increase—such as a raise or bonus—to acknowledge God as the source of all blessings. This sets a foundation for future increase and aligns our hearts with gratitude.
"Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the Lord your God." (Exodus 23:19)
Almsgiving

Giving to the poor, also known as almsgiving, reflects God’s heart for those in need. Helping the poor brings blessings and is a demonstration of God’s love and justice.
"Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed." (Proverbs 28:27)

Sacrificial Giving
Sacrificial giving involves going beyond what is comfortable, offering our best and trusting God to provide. It reveals where our treasure and heart truly lie.

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
(Matthew 6:21)

Honoring a Man of God
Scripture shows examples of individuals giving to honor God’s servants, which often unlocks blessings. Supporting those who minister allows God’s work to continue and reflects our gratitude for their service.

"I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward." (Mark 9:41)

Partnering with Traveling Ministries
Supporting traveling ministries connects believers to God’s work globally and brings blessings both personally and in business. Partnering in ministry allows the Gospel to reach even more lives.

"And many others were contributing from their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples." (Luke 8:3)

Each form of giving is an act of worship, obedience, and trust in God’s promises. By embracing these principles, we participate in His work on earth and position ourselves to receive His abundant blessings.
Beliefs on Marriage, Sexuality, & Gender
We believe that God intentionally and immutably creates each individual as male or female, and these two distinct, complementary genders reflect His image and nature. (Genesis 1:26-27) Rejecting one’s biological sex is a rejection of the divine image within that person. We believe that marriage is defined in Scripture as the lifelong union of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:18-25) God designed sexual intimacy to be expressed exclusively within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4)

We believe that any sexual activity outside the bounds of biblical marriage, including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, incest, bestiality, or pornography, is sinful and offensive to God. (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10) To uphold the integrity and witness of Behold King Jesus, all staff and volunteers must align with and live according to this biblical understanding of marriage, gender, and sexuality. (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:22)

We also affirm that God offers redemption and restoration to all who turn from sin, confessing and seeking His mercy through Jesus Christ. (Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11) Every person is created in God’s image and must be treated with compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31) Hateful or harassing behavior is inconsistent with Scripture and will not be tolerated.
